Frequently Asked Questions

What is a digital x-ray? How much radiation am I getting from them?

Digital radiography is a form of x-ray imaging, where digital x-rays sensors are used instead of traditional photographic film. Advantages include time efficiency through bypassing chemical processing and the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images. Also less radiation can be used to produce an image of similar contrast to conventional radiography.Digital xrays are about 90% less than traditional xrays.

Why do I need to floss?

Flossing removes plaque and food particles from between the teeth and under the gumline, areas where your toothbrush can't reach. Because tooth decay and periodontal disease often start in these areas, it's important to clean them thoroughly once a day.

What materials do we use for a filling?

We use resin plastic material called Filtek Supreme Ultra. Some amalgam fillings are done.
